What’s Covered Under the Kia Soul Warranty?

The Kia Soul has been a popular pick at Pomona Kia for many years, and there are plenty of reasons why drivers are drawn to its impressive offerings. From its bold good looks to its advanced features and affordable price tag, the Kia Soul sits in a class of its own.

What’s more? The Kia warranty is one of the best in the business, so you can drive with complete confidence in Chino and Covina. In the guide below, we go over the details of the Kia powertrain warranty and Kia bumper-to-bumper warranty for the Soul.

Kia Bumper-to-Bumper Warranty Coverage

The Kia bumper-to-bumper warranty covers all the components of your new Kia Soul for up to 60 months (five years) or 60,000 milesof drive time (whichever comes first). Keep in mind that this Kia warranty does not cover wear or maintenance items.

Kia Powertrain Warranty Coverage

The Kia powertrain warranty is even more impressive. As the name suggests, it’s designed to cover a vast array of components in your Kia Soul’s powertrain (excluding wear and maintenance). The Kia powertrain warranty covers your vehicle for up to 120 months (ten years) or 100,000 miles (whichever comes first). Here is what’s included with this Kia warranty:

  • In the Engine: Cylinder block, cylinder head and all internal parts, timing gear, seals and gaskets, valve cover, flywheel, oil pump, water pump, and turbocharger
  • In the Transaxle: Transmission case and all internal parts, torque converter, drive shafts, universal joints, front hubs, bearings, seals, and gaskets
  • In the Axles: Axle shafts and C-V joints (couplings), seals, hub, and wheel bearings
  • In the Transmission: Transmission case, transfer case, torque converter, and all internal parts, seals, and gaskets
  • In the Differentials: Front and rear differential assemblies, cases, all internal parts, seals, and gaskets
  • In the Propeller Shafts: Drive shafts and universal joints

Is the Kia Warranty Transferable?

A common question we receive at Pomona Kia is, “Is the Kia warranty transferable?” When a Kia warranty is transferred to a second owner, the 10-year/100,000-mile limited powertrain coverage is replaced by a 5-year/60,000-mile limited powertrain warranty.
